In order to meet future demands on high-quality decor, Osbra is investing in the technology of hot embossing. With this technology, a carrier foil is applied to plastic parts with a stamp. Typical applications are exterior and interior parts with special decorative requirements. For example, mirroring silver or chrome effects can be applied which would not be possible in print. At the same time costs an be reduced especially for small production runs due to eliminating non-recurring charges for the chrome-plating process.

The first usage for Osbra is the embossing of chrome foil for lamellae in the area of the radiator grill. After the trial phase, the series project will start in April 2018.
